Bet On Double Chance For Away Favourite In The Premier League
What if we bet on Away Win Or Draw if the away team is favourite?
Hey Friend,
Are you excited for our new football betting strategy this week? Take a look below!
💡 Strategy
This strategy is easy to follow. We bet on the favourite team to win or draw when they are playing away, and the odds for this are between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.8 (4/5).
Here's how it works:
If the Double Chance odds for the favourite team to win or draw are between 1.4 and 1.8, and they are playing away, we bet one unit on the favourite team to win or draw.
Example from Round 1 of the 2023-24 Premier League Season:
Sheffield United vs. Crystal Palace: Crystal Palace is slightly favoured to win this game with odds of 2.48 (37/25), while Sheffield United has odds of 3.11 (211/100) to win. The double chance odds for Crystal Palace to win or draw are 1.44 (11/25). Since these odds are between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.8 (4/5), and Crystal Palace is the favourite and the away team, we bet one unit on Crystal Palace to win or draw.
Everton vs. Fulham: Everton is slightly favoured to win this game with odds of 2.3 (13/10), while Fulham has odds of 3.45 (49/20) to win. The double chance odds for Everton to win or draw are 1.4 (2/5), which is between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.8 (4/5). However, since Everton is playing at home, not away, we skip this game and do not bet on it.
📈 Stats
On average, in the Premier League, the away team wins or it's a draw about 54% of the time.

Match Winner stats - Premier League
This means betting on double chance for away win or draw can be successful if we avoid most games where the home team is the winner. For example, we can only bet on the away team or draw if the away team is the favourite.
⭐ Testing
We tested this strategy over the past season of the English Premier League (2023-24). Starting from Round 1, we bet £10 on each game where the favorite team to win was the away team and the odds for them to win or draw were between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.8 (4/5).
For the 2023-24 season, we placed bets on 59 games. We won 69% of those bets, making a net profit of £15.90, which is an ROI of 2.7%.

🚀 Bet Or Regret?
Betting on the favourite team to win or draw when they are away and the odds are between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.8 (4/5) didn't work well in our tests. We didn't lose money, but we didn't make much either. Even though we won a lot of bets, we only got a 2.7% return on our money. This isn't enough, and a few more lost bets would mean we would be losing money with this strategy. So, we think you might REGRET following this strategy.
