Bet On Heavy Favourites To Win HT and FT
What if we bet on heavy favourites to win both the first half and full time?
Hey Friend,
Are you excited for our new football betting strategy this week? Take a look below!
💡 Strategy
This strategy is easy to follow. We bet on heavy favourites to win both the first half and at full time for each game in the English Premier League.
Here's how it works:
For each game, if the favorite to win has odds shorter than or equal to 1.3 (3/10), we bet one unit on the favorite to win both the first half and the full game.
Example from Round 1 of the 2023-24 Premier League Season:
Arsenal vs. Nottingham Forest: Arsenal is the favorite with odds of 1.21 (21/100). Since these odds are shorter than 1.3 (3/10), we bet on Arsenal to win both the first half and full time.
Burnley vs. Man City: Man City is the favourite, but the odds for them to win are 1.39 (39/100). These odds are greater than 1.3 (3/10), so we skip this game and do not bet on it.
📈 Stats
On average, the heavy favourite team (with odds shorter than 1.3 (3/10)) wins 85% of the time in the Premier League.
This means betting on heavy favourites can be successful if we increase the payout. One way to do this is by betting on heavy favourites to win the first half as well as at full time, as the regular odds are usually very low.
⭐ Testing
We tested this strategy over the past season of the English Premier League (2023-24). Starting from Round 1, we bet £10 on HT/FT result for each game where the favourite to win had odds shorter than or equal to 1.3 (3/10).
For the 2023-24 season, we placed bets on 41 games. We won 54% of those bets, making a net profit of £-76.60, which is an ROI of -18.6%.

🚀 Bet Or Regret?
Betting on heavy favourites to win both the first half and full time didn't work well in our tests. We lost 18.6% of our money. This is bad enough, so we can confidently say that you most likely will REGRET following this strategy.
