Bet on one team to always lose
What if we bet on one team to lose every game they play in the Premier League?
Hey Friend,
Are you excited for our new football betting strategy test this week? Take a look below!
💡 Strategy
This strategy is easy to follow. We bet on one team to lose every single game they play in the English Premier League.
Here's how it works:
Pick a Team: Choose a team that’s likely to lose a lot — choose the team at the bottom of the league.
Start from Round 7: Start using this strategy from Round 7. It helps you spot which team might be near the bottom of the standings and lose more games.
Example from Round 7 of the 2023-24 Premier League Season:
West Ham vs. Sheffield United: Since Sheffield United is at the bottom of the league after Round 6, we’ll bet against them for the rest of the season. This means for each game Sheffield United plays, we’ll bet on the other team to win. So, for this game, we’re betting on West Ham to win.
Bournemouth vs. Arsenal: Bournemouth is towards the bottom of the table before Round 7 and is the underdog in this game. But since our strategy is to bet only on one team to lose, namely Sheffield United, we skip this game and don't place a bet.
📈 Stats
On average, the favourite team wins 59% of the time in the Premier League.
This means betting on favourites can be successful if we avoid most games where the favourite doesn’t win. For example, we only bet against one of the weakest underdogs all the time by always betting against the team that is the last in the standings after Round 6. This way, we’re pretty sure the team will lose a lot of games during the season.
⭐ Testing
We tested this strategy over the past season of the English Premier League (2023-24). Starting from Round 7, we bet £10 against Sheffield United in each game they played. Namely we bet on the opposite team to win.
For the 2023-24 season, we placed bets on 32 games. We won 72% of those bets, making a net profit of £54.00, which is an ROI of 17%.

🚀 Bet Or Regret?
Betting on only one team to lose all the games they play worked pretty well in our tests. We chose Sheffield United who after Round 6 were at the bottom of the table and they ended up being relegated from the league. Overall, we made 17% return on our money, which is pretty good. So, we believe that you might want to BET following this strategy.
