This strategy is easy to understand but needs a few simple calculations. Don't worry, we will explain it step by step. For each game in the German Bundesliga, we look at the past 6 games for both teams. If both teams had games with a total of Over 2.5 Goals in at least 4 of their last 6 games and the odds for Over 2.5 Goals are between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.7 (7/10), we bet on Over 2.5 Goals for that game.

Here's how it works:

Starting from Round 7, so we have enough data for the strategy to work we do the following:
For each game, if both teams had games with a total of Over 2.5 Goals in at least 5 of their last 6 games, we bet on Over 2.5 Goals for that game with one unit.

Examples from Round 7 of the 2023-24 Bundesliga Season:

• Werder Bremen vs. Hoffenheim: After Round 6, Werder Bremen had 5 of their last 6 games with more than 2.5 total goals. Hoffenheim also had 5 of their last 6 games with more than 2.5 total goals. Also, the odds for Over 2.5 Goals are 1.49 ( 49/100). Since both teams had at least 4 of their last 6 games with more than 2.5 total goals and the odds are between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.7 (7/10), we place a bet on Over 2.5 goals for this game.

• Dortmund vs. Union Berlin: After Round 6, Dortmund had 3 of their last 6 games with more than 2.5 total goals. Union Berlin had 4 of their last 6 games with more than 2.5 total goals. Since not both teams had at least 4 of their last 6 games with more than 2.5 total goals, we skip this game and do not bet on it.

On average, about 62% of all games in the Bundesliga end with Over 2.5 Goals:

This means betting on Over 2.5 Goals can work well if we avoid most of the games with fewer than 2.5 goals. The idea is to bet only when both teams had 4 of their last 6 games with more than 2.5 total goals and the odds for Over 2.5 Goals to be between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.7 (7/10).

⭐ Testing

We tested this strategy over the past season of the German Bundesliga (2023-24). Starting from Round 7, we bet £10 on each game where both teams had at least 4 of their last 6 games with more than 2.5 total goals and the odds for Over 2.5 Goals were between 1.4 (2/5) and 1.7 (7/10).

For the 2023-24 season, we placed bets on 47 games. We won 72% of those bets, making a net profit of £47.90, which is an ROI of 10.2%.
